Angela's Handmade Christmas Gifts

FOUR WEEKS of 3 hour sessions! These are the fruits of Angela's creative "sweat". Each clipboard is specially designed and throughly thought through.... (TTT.... ;D )

I've gotta hand it to her, she persevered and made each one different and unique..... Ummm... store-bought gifts would have been much easier, huh? Hope your friends enjoy and appreciate these precious personalised photo-clipboard frames (PPP... what's with me today?!!)

Tri-Fold TY card for Ebenezer Church

Sometimes plans go awry...... I had wanted to do a Accordion card (those zig-zag thingys). Then, as I scored and cut the paper.... I ran out paper!... ok, so I need to plan more..... lols!
Anyway, here's what I ended up with and I thought it looks pretty good!

ALTERED BOXES

ISAAC'S BOX
I had been working on altering these 2 boxes, a musical box, mini coaster album, 2 file folder albums...... Love the look of everything! I've been truly blessed; I'm able to take joy in what I make..... most times.

The whole process... with it's inspiration; flows and ebbs, it's stresses and many interruptions and distractions and yes, frustrations.... is usual in crafters and crafting.
I'm still learning to handle the stress of crafting for other people, as I told my friend E....
And she promptly commissioned another project to be due end Oct! I'm not thinking about it..... I need to recover a bit... and rest on my laurels for a teeny weeny bit! LOLS!

You know, half the joy of crafting is seeing the appreciation and joy of the person who gets to keep the piece of work. The other half is in seeing the work develop and knowing you've had a hand in making something to be treasured and is meaningful.

Enjoy looking!

BIG BOOKMARKERS

As you can see, I have to put my Magnolia's some-place, any-place and on every-place. These 2 book markers are for the 2 girls; Judith & Selinna. My church is sponsoring their education in the Philippines through CCM.

MORE MAGS!!

Really had a great time colouring these. They are so fun and endearing! The boy with the heart-shaped balloon belongs to Adeline and the girl with the puppy (the colour is off because of light reflection off the glossy accent) is mine. We have been BAD! What to do? Simon Says Stamps sent an email telling me they have free international shipping if you spend over $120..... next thing I know.... I've got cute little stamps in the mail...... most of it was Adeline's..... really......
Now Flo's infected..... ummm... addicted.

ANGELA'S ALTERED ALBUM

WE worked on this project for over 4 sessions. A little slow going but more relaxing....
There are times when I craft like crazy bec, I'm impatient to see the end product. I guess, I have to learn to go slower and try to enjoy the 'journey' and not rush to reach the 'destination'......

ALTERED CLIPBOARD CLASS

HAD A ROUSING SESSION OF CRAFTING WITH 7 LOVEE-LY LADIES!
I feel so proud of these love-lies (ladies and clipboards)...
For people who had to be persuaded to attend the session, they did churn out quite PRETTY work!... But then, they had a great teacher..... so.... ahem! HA!HA!
I must say I had enjoyed myself hugely taking the class. The ladies were quick, easy-going and co-operative and yes..... there were true sparks of creativity crackling beneath their technically-trained self!

GERALDINE'S HIGH SCHOOL SCRAPBOOK

SPEED SCRAPBOOKING; 18 hours+; that's how long this supposedly simple scrapbook took to put together. Geraldine (dear girl) came over for 2 days to work on her High School Grad album. We decided to do the pages according to her name initials. G- Grad, E- Exciting Events...... I found this method effective in pulling together the various ideas for the pages together into a album.

CLipboard Again!

I had my friend Angie over today to do a altered clipboard.... (she's doing it for her s-i-l's birthday).
Since she liked the Magnolia Stamps so much, I taught her stamping and watecolouring too. I thought she did a great job with the colouring! (and she said she's not good at colouring.... hmmm....lols!) Pretty, how it all turned out!
