I'm SOOOO GLAD December 2008 is finally done with!! It was a very BUZZZZSY month!!
I got to do quite a few interesting projects though.
There were the 3 publicity "posters" for my church's year-end gathering. One poster per week displaying our theme for the event; Reflect, Rejoice, Resolve.
Here's what I did for the first;

I used the Alphalicious cartridge (cart) and cut the letters on my Cricut Expression at 5 inches. The accents are cut from Accents Essential cart. The letters are then embossed using the Swiss Dots folder through the Cuttlebug machine. I'm sorry if I sound 'Greek' to some of you.... if you click on the link to the cricut machine, you'll understand why I just had to have this sweet "baby"! My Cricut truly came in useful this last month.... it's amazzing what u can do with it!

The next poster;

This time the font cart That I used was Opposite Attract. The main words were cut on black paper (285mg) and faux stitches drawn on using white Signo pen marker. Then using I used the shadow feature on the machine to cut out the words on red cardstock. As the base board was 19 inches long, I had to half my scrap paper and join up to use for background.
I thought since the theme was Rejoice, I would use my  Penny Black; Hedgehog Stamps to deco it. Stamp! Colour! Cut out with sharp (v. impt.) blade! and foam mount them on! Oh yes, I just had to use my Glossy Accent again on the bees, flowers and daffodils !! So FUN!

The last poster... (sorry for the blurry pic)

This poster took the longest to put together! Ugh! I did not have any idea on the 'look' I wanted and so, was feeling rather stressed  towards the end of the week. I did finally throw this together, but am not very satisfied with the end result.
The words were cut at 3 inches, using the Plantin Schoolbook cart, then embossed and chalked lightly with gold colour versamark ink. Foam mounted so that they pop-up.  I got to try out the Flower Soft I bought online (see left-most square). They are so easy to use and so very pree-eety the effect! The 3-D roses and flowers were STian's treasures that she bought and brought back from her trip to Thailand.

~SO WHAT DO I DO WITH THE POSTERS AFTER THE EVENT?~
I TURNED THEM INTO NAME FRAMES for the sisters in my SCG!!

Now, I love how these turned out!
