FRAMES! FRAMES!

Ask ACE & ANGELA if it was easy doing these..... I think they will say "NO!"
(They spent about 5 hours doing their own frames!)
Ask if it had been satisfying and fun.... a definite "YES!!!"

Two very distinctive look  and styles ,
BUT both turned out sooooo pretty!! Good jOb, gals!

Ace's PAssiON has to do sharp pointy thingies! She brought her accupuncture needles and jabbed Angela with it...lols.... while I snapped away with the camera (it was at a beauty accu point.... so  I did not feel too bad for her).  We also took a couple of shots of her working? a ball of wool (ok, so now you know I'm knitting-illiterate) and her in a knitted sweater she knitted for her boyfriend. Scrap-booking being one of her passions also, just had to be included..... so we had her using the paper piercer and "click" it into memory...... hard work too..... getting all the pictures!
Angela's good at putting her fine taste to her creativity.... she likes the earth-tone colours and pearls! (like me.... yes, I have fine taste! Humility is one of my best attributes tooo..... LOLZ!!!) I liked Angela's idea of the pop-up photo frame, I thought it worked very well! The other thing I liked was her eye-lashes.... so cute and spiky!

SOMETHING NEW! ALTERED FRAMES!

I was at ArtFriend the other day, just browsing .... and came upon these chipboard frames..... Hmmmm.... my mind was already considering their possibilities.....
Here's the completed piece! This is for Sihui! No special reason.... just that I thought of her and I liked how her photos came out.... photos she tried NOT to let me take! Sorry... I was quite a pest! ; ))

How I did this:
1) Stamp flourishes and swirls using Autumn Leaves's clear stamps & Versamark's Sepia ink.
2) Use Colorbox Catseye chalk ink to edge it, to give a "burnt" look.... use Chestnut & Dark Brown.
3) ModPodge it using Plaid's antique clear varnish.... leave overnight to dry.
4) The background paper was from my new stack of DCWV La Creme stack. Flowers from Prima Flowers Gel-a-tin collection... Title & name cut from my Cricut and BossKut Adore Alphabet.....

Another Box for a FRiEnD

Seems like I'm on a EXplod Box roll.... I started making this for Ace last week to cheer her up.... she just seemed down.
The thing is, Ace has been coming over to scrap on and off. So instead of lugging her stuff over everytime, she leaves her stash over at my place..... for me to drool over.... she's got some really pretty stuff! Anyways, she has rather definite taste in colours and all.... SO it was easy to make something for her that she will like.... just dive into her stash and dig thru alllllllll that lovely papers, stickers and deco accents.....
Ace loves snowflakes......... I've followed that theme in the patterned paper I've chosen, box accent and embossing.... Hope she'll like it....

Flo's Creation; Accordion Album

Flo, the person who started Tian & me on this card-making madness.... who showed us places we can spend our "purse" money buying paper (of all things... huh?) inks (pigment, dyes, alcohol), punches, adhesive, tools (gotta have those!) & countless nick nacks....., made this beautiful Accordion Album for Tian's daughter who's going abroad  to work for some years.

I contributed opinions, flowers and the name&tag.... :)

It really is a neat idea and would make a great gift! She crafted the album and the holder as well.... such detailed and fine craftwomanship..... aiyo! (means=wow!)
