The Marriage BOX - an Explosion Box Version

I made this Explosion Box to hold photos with hubs when 25th Anniversary comes around next year.
The Marriage Box Poem is a meaningful reminder that we don't take our love ones for granted and that relationship bonds can become fragile. Take time to make memories.

2 weDDings and 2 Angpow BOXES - Part 2

After all the 'building' of En Hui's Angpow box.... I said to myself.... it's just too much work! And I thought I wouldn't attempt another box any time soon...... till I found out that S&S have not gotten their box yet.... so... in a flurry of papers, tons of glue, embellishes, die-cuts, pearls, flowers and ribbons..... Wah Lah!! this box pOpped out!

I liked it.... maybe it's all that pink and gold and pearls.... ;D

The lovely, lovely ribbon flower embellishment is from Prima Marketing Flowers - Gemini Flower Borgia... no longer sold here and discontinued :'(   I have kept those, like, for ages and anges, too pretty to use..... BUT... it went really well with the boxes  and so... sighz!.... it was sacrificed for a good cause ; )

    2 weDDings and 2 Angpow BOXES - Part 1

In the Asian community, Angpow (red packets/envelopes), containing mo$$ney, are given out mainly during Chinese New Year and  at weddings to the bride and groom.
At weddings, guests may drop the red packets for the couple into the Angpow box at the usher's table.

Last September saw 2 weddings of 2 young couples from church! Woo-Hoo!

En Hui (saw her grow up from a little girl in plaits) and Joo Chuan tied the knot and lives the happy ending! So happy for them!

I bought the box from Art Republic at Novena Sq. It comes unassembled, brown carton box finish and is a useful size of 9" (great for storing 8x8" album, after it's use for the wedding) at a price of almost $14. A bit on the pricey side, for a plain box, but I HAVE LOOKED everywhere and found that this is really the best size. The shop sells a simple-altered/decorated Angpow Box for a (gasp!) $60!

The whole box (inside and out) is covered with scrapbooking cardstock and patterned paper. The photo-stand at the top can be slide up to stand, revealing the slot for where the Angpows can be dropped in. Roses are from Prima flowers and the words cut from my Cricut machine. I did a rough calculation and my done up box cost as much as the simple box in the shop! ;D

    i aM A GrAnd Aunt

My second sis became first among the 5 of us girls to be a GRANNIE. Whoooa!

How wonderful a blessing! So now I am a G-R-A-N-D aunt for the 3rd time.... ;P

And the grand aunt must do a scrapbook for grand babies....

Josiah is our first grand nephew and such a sweet boy with a sweet disposition. Putting his photos together and planning it into the scrapbook drew a smile every time. He is such a darling child!

May the Lord show His favour upon this little one and may Josiah grow into the man the Lord intends him to be.

Get Well Card for a good Friend

An ordinary card will not do.....
Crafted this SMASH book/card for my good friend Wendy. Poor dear had to undergo 2 ops on to repair her spine all within 3weeks of each op. She is a courageous one. Praise the Lord she has recovered well and is again her hardworking self.

I learnt this from here. Her's is really small. I made my card from 8x8" squares and it folds up to  a 4" card.
